Volunteer Business Development Representative / Sales Development Representative (Commission-Based)

Location: Remote and in-person (NYC)

About Us: We are a nonprofit technology organization, Giving Forward a cause marketing platform raising donations via shopping, and alternative fundraising means.

Role Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and driven Volunteer Business Development Representatives / Sales Development Representatives to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about nonprofit work and are looking to gain experience in sales and business development. Although this is a volunteer position, it offers a commission-based incentive, rewarding successful outreach and partnership formations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential nonprofit partners and corporate clients, including event producers, chambers of commerce, event sponsors, law forms, accounting firms and other professional organizations.
• Educate prospects on the benefits and features of our technology platforms through calls, emails, and social media interactions.
• Develop and implement strategic outreach plans to effectively target potential partners.
• Schedule and conduct presentations and demonstrations for prospective clients. (or refer the leads into the more senior team)
• Maintain a pipeline of engagements and manage follow-ups with prospects.
• Collaborate with our marketing and tech teams to refine messaging and outreach strategies.

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in nonprofit work, technology, and cause marketing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to meet and exceed objectives.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
• Previous experience in sales, marketing, or business development is a plus but not required.
