    Must have experience in leadership, governance, or subject areas aligned with our mission. Board members are expected to attend quarterly virtual meetings and contribute to strategic planning, fundraising, and outreach.

    Description

    Alleviate Foundation is a newly established nonprofit in Washington, DC, dedicated to empowering nonprofits, social enterprises, educational institutions, and individuals with access to funding opportunities, digital tools, training, and resources that strengthen their capacity for social impact.

    We are currently seeking passionate and committed individuals to serve as Founding Board Members. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the vision, governance, and long-term sustainability of a new nonprofit at its earliest stage.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Provide strategic direction and oversight for the foundation’s mission.
    • Support organizational compliance with nonprofit and 501(c)(3) requirements.
    • Contribute expertise, networks, or resources to strengthen our capacity.
    • Participate in quarterly board meetings (virtual or in-person).
    • Serve as ambassadors for the foundation’s mission in your community.

    Qualifications:

    • Commitment to advancing charitable and educational impact.
    • Willingness to actively contribute time, expertise, or resources.
    • Prior nonprofit, community leadership, or governance experience is valued but not required.
