    Are you a warm and friendly communicator with a knack for creating a welcoming environment? Join our dedicated team at our esteemed free medical clinic, where every day brings an opportunity to touch lives and spread hope.

    As a Volunteer Receptionist, you will be the smiling face that greets patients, ensures their smooth check-in process, and provides them with a sense of comfort during their visit. Your excellent communication skills and empathetic nature will create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all.

    Responsibilities:

    • Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor.
    • Efficiently manage incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information about the clinic's programs and services.
    • Utilize the electronic healthcare records program to ensure patients are checked-in, demographic information has been verified, and required paperwork has been printed and completed.
    • Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary.
    • Check for messages on the voicemail system periodically throughout the shift and respond as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Friendly and compassionate disposition.
    • Appropriate telephone etiquette.
    • Strong communication and listening skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations and needs.
    • Basic computer proficiency with a willingness to learn LVIM's electronic health records computer program.
