EmpowHERto partners with black and Latina girls and young women from underserved communities between 14-21, empowering them with the necessary tools to thrive and effect positive systemic change.
EmpowHERto is dedicated to empowering young women through innovative education and skill-building programs. We are looking for a STEM Curriculum Lead to design and facilitate engaging STEM programs that inspire girls to explore technology, coding, and other STEM-related fields.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop age-appropriate STEM curricula, including coding, data analytics, and other tech-focused topics.
- Integrate current STEM trends and emerging technologies into programs.
- Train and support program facilitators on curriculum implementation.
- Collaborate with program teams to ensure STEM initiatives align with organizational goals.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through participant feedback and data analysis.
- Engage and meet with community members and prospective partners
- Assist with STEM grants
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Education, or related fields.
- Experience designing and implementing STEM-related curricula.
- Experience in overseeing staff
- Passion for empowering girls in STEM fields.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of coding languages, robotics, or STEM tools is a plus.
- Proven leadership experience in team management, event coordination, or strategic planning, preferably in a nonprofit or volunteer setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to community engagement through sustained volunteer work or civic involvement that reflects empathy, initiative, and impact
