    Description

“Serve Up Smiles: Volunteer to Prepare Meals for Families”

Families staying at the Ronald McDonald House look forward to a hot home-cooked meal for dinner after a long day at the hospital. We are seeking groups up to 8 people to come in and prepare a meal for our families to enjoy! Bring your group to cook and serve a meal for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Iowa City (65 people) or the Ronald McDonald Family Room at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Hospital (20 people). Dinner is served at 5:30 pm, and groups of up to 8 volunteers (ages 16+) can arrive early to prepare in our fully equipped commercial kitchen. Volunteers supply the ingredients and prepare the meal, offering families comfort and care during a difficult time. Menus do not need to follow specific dietary restrictions, but all food must be prepared on-site in our commercial kitchen (no home-prepared food).
