Overview
The International Youth Federation (IYF) is a global non-profit youth organization network governed by the present statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is politically neutral, and non-denominational, aiming to empower youth worldwide.
The IYF is a global youth network, an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to empower young people across the world. IYF works in over 50 countries and territories, helping to achieve youth empowerment and improve the status of youth.
The Young Leadership Development Programme (YLDP) is a dynamic global innovative capacity building programme aim at empowering young Egyptians and equip them with the values, skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the professional fields of work so that they are ready to use their potential to develop themselves and their communities and contribute to a better future for the country.
Under the overall guidance of the Country Director, the Deputy Country Director, Partnerships and Communications is responsible for leading partnership development, external relations, and communication strategies within YLDP Egypt. The role includes fostering collaboration with key stakeholders, managing outreach efforts, and ensuring strong brand positioning of the programme. The Deputy Country Director, Partnerships and Communications, will work closely with internal and external partners to enhance engagement and visibility.

To voluntarily represent, positively promote, and uphold the mission of “Empowering youth for a better world” in various programs and opportunities throughout the IYF interventions across member countries.

Eligibility
Experience
Experience and results preferred in public relations, partnerships, strategic communications, donor engagement, social media management, youth advocacy, international development, or other relevant fields. Experience in youth-led organizations is an asset.
Assessment
Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise, which may be followed by a competency-based interview.
Language
Fluency in English with superior drafting skills is essential.
Time commitment
As we are working on a very flexible schedule, the time commitment for this role will be around (5-8 hours/week), but that may vary from week to another.
