Through programs like the Rebuild Program, Acts of Kindness, and Tales from the Unfortunate storytelling series, we give people a second chance by providing the tools and encouragement needed to rebuild their lives.

    Role Overview

    The Social Media Marketing Specialist helps bring Deliverance Charities’ mission to life online. Your role is to create meaningful, engaging content that reflects our stories, programs, and impact. You will help people see the transformation happening across our organization — from the Rebuild Program to Acts of Kindness to our Tales from the Unfortunate book series. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys storytelling, creativity, and making a difference through digital platforms.

    Key Goals

    • Increase awareness of Deliverance Charities’ programs, book series, events, and community efforts.
    • Create content that feels human, hopeful, and aligned with our brand voice.
    • Support our mission-driven campaigns such as Seasons of Kindness, Rebuild Program awareness, and story-based marketing.
    • Encourage audience engagement, email sign-ups, and community involvement.
    • Manage a team of Social Media Coordinators and delegate tasks

    Responsibilities

    • Clear understanding of Public Relations Skills, like brand sentiment and engagement
    • Create short-form content for social platforms (graphics, captions, reels, story posts, quotes, and visuals).
    • Turn organizational updates, stories, and events into engaging posts.
    • Collaborate with the other volunteers to stay aligned with campaign goals.
    • Follow our content calendar and scheduling plans.
    • Share uplifting messages, character moments, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and story-based posts that reflect our mission.
    • Adjust content style for different platforms when needed (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Linkedin and Pinterest).
    • Monitor basic engagement (likes, comments, shares) and share simple feedback with the digital marketing team.

    Tools You’ll Use

    • Scheduling: Meta Business Suite and Buffer
    • Design: Canva and Affinity
    • Analytics: Facebook Insights, Instagram Analytics, Google tools

    Work Environment: Our team is collaborative and supportive, using tools Google Gmail, Chat and Space to stay connected and work efficiently.

    Schedule:

    • Self-determined schedule (weekends are preferred)
    • At least 5 hours a week (due weekly meetings)
    • Monthly updates and check ins submitted via email or chat.
