    Committee Member for Psychologists of Color (POC) Board

    About Psychologists of Color, Inc.

    Psychologists of Color, Inc. (POC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization at the forefront of promoting racial justice and equality within the field of psychology. POC is a proactive solution to the gap between the number of individuals of color needing mental health support and psychologists of color accessible to them.

    The mission of Psychologists of Color, Inc. is to increase the racial and ethnic diversity of the psychologist workforce by supporting future and current psychologists of color.

    Committee Chair(s)

    While all of our POC Board committees are chaired by members of the POC Board of Directors, our bylaws also allow for non-Board members to serve on our committees.

    Additionally, serving on a committee is a perquisite for joining our Board of Directors.

    We are currently seeking additional committee members for our Fundraising, Programming, & Finance Committees.

    Fundraising Committee

    The POC Fundraising Committee creates fundraising strategies and plans, supports donor cultivation and stewardship, and helps organize fundraising events and campaigns.

    Programming Committee

    The Programming Committee guides program development and evaluation, ensures activities align with our mission and community's needs, and monitors program outcomes and impact.

    Subcommittees of the Programming Committee focus on our three core programs: the EPPP Coaching Circle, our POC Mentorship Program through MentorCity, and our POC webinars.

    Finance Committee

    The Finance Committee prepares and monitors the organization’s budget, reviews financial statements to ensure the financial health of the organization, and oversees financial policies.
