    Description

Volunteer Greeter - 2026 Tax Season (NYC)

Campaign for Working Families (CWF) offers its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program throughout Philadelphia, New York City, and New Jersey. The VITA initiative has established a network of community-based tax sites, that provide free tax preparation services to low-to-moderate income individuals and families. CWF trains and IRS certifies hundreds of volunteers each year that work alongside highly specialized and trained staff to help tax filers in more than 10 different languages and have translated returns into more than 40 languages.

Volunteer Greeters at Campaign for Working Families (CWF) are the first point of contact for our clients when they visit one of our free tax sites. A strong greeter is essential for creating a welcoming, organized experience from the moment clients arrive. As a Greeter, you’ll help guide clients through the check-in process, manage the flow of the waiting area, and ensure Intake Specialists have the support they need to keep things running smoothly. You’ll also distribute tablets and forms and assist clients in completing their paperwork, contributing to a fast and accurate intake process.
