    Description

    The Roselands Horticultural Society is seeking a Treasurer. This position is a volunteer

    position.

    Summary

    The Treasurer is responsible for oversight of the Club’s finances.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in preparation of annual budget and present to Executive Board for review and

    approval.

    • Prepare and submit all required financial reports.
    • Prepare and present Treasurer's Report at the Society's AGM.
    • Prepare the annual financial information to be sent to the Financial Reviewers prior

    to the AGM.

    • Prepare a monthly Bank Reconciliation.
    • Maintain accurate and reconciled banking records.
    • Receive, record and deposit all Society incoming monies.
    • Receive, record and remit payment for all Society expenditures.
    • Maintain an up-to-date database of all financial transactions to corroborate reports.
    • Monitor any changes in expenses vs income.
    • Monitor the budget to compare actual vs budget.
    • Provide oversight and due diligence and report any concerns to the Executive Board.
