Computer Science Teaching Assistant

Join us in the next generation of African tech leaders! The AIT Summer Bootcamp is looking for passionate tech professionals to volunteer as facilitators for our virtual bootcamp! This bootcamp is designed to introduce incoming college scholars to foundational computing concepts, preparing them for success in their computer science journey.

As a facilitator, you will have the opportunity to:

1. Give back by mentoring and guiding aspiring tech students.
2. Shape the future by helping young scholars gain confidence in computing.
3. Expand your network by working with like-minded professionals in the tech space.

Who We Are Looking For:

1. Tech professionals with expertise in computer science, software engineering, or related fields.
2. Passionate educators who enjoy teaching and mentoring.
3. Individuals committed to diversity and uplifting people of African descent in tech.
4. Available for at least 2 hours per week over the course of a month.

Responsibilities:

1. Facilitate intro to computing sessions for incoming scholars.
2. Provide guidance and mentorship as students navigate the course.
3. Offer feedback on performance and track student progress.
4. Foster an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
