    English Teacher Volunteer

    About Us:

    Since 2020, Dillar English Academy has been dedicated to empowering Uyghur refugees worldwide by providing free English language education. Our mission spans all proficiency levels-from foundational literacy to advanced writing skills. With the help of volunteer teachers, we aim to bridge the educational gap for Uyghur communities around the world.

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking passionate, dedicated volunteers to join our team as English Teachers. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to teach Uyghur students at various proficiency levels, helping them develop their English language skills. While formal teaching certifications are not required, a commitment to teaching and helping students succeed is essential.

    Responsibilities:

    • Teach English to Uyghur students, ranging from beginners to advanced learners.
    • Develop lesson plans, activities, and materials to engage and support students.
    • Provide personalized feedback to help students improve their language skills.
    • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment for all learners.
    • Communicate with the Academy team about student progress and specific needs.

    Requirements:

    • Native English speaker with a strong command of the language.
    • No formal certification required, but teaching experience or a background in education is preferred.
    • A passion for helping others and contributing to the Uyghur community.
    • Ability to work with students of varying levels of proficiency and background.
    • Weekly commitment of 1 hour (or more) depending on your availability.
    • Optional: Proficiency in Uyghurche is a plus, but not required.
