    Volunteer Opportunity: Sponsorship Outreach for Out of the Darkness Walk

    Help Build Community Partnerships for Minnesota's Largest Suicide Prevention Walk

    The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - Minnesota's Chapter is seeking a Sponsorship Outreach Volunteer to help lead partnership-building efforts for the Twin Cities Out of the Darkness Walk.

    Nearly 2,000 Minnesotans participate each year, and local sponsors play a crucial role in funding resources, providing supplies, and ensuring the event remains free and accessible to all.

    Role Overview:

    As a Sponsorship Outreach Volunteer, you'll help:

    • Research and identify potential business partners
    • Reach out to local organizations to build sponsorship relationships
    • Support the stewardship of returning sponsors
    • Help secure in-kind donations to support Walk Day needs
    • Collaborate with committee leadership on recognition efforts

    Ideal Candidate:

    This opportunity is great for someone interested in community relations, nonprofit partnerships, sales, fundraising, or event planning. Training and support are provided.

    Time Commitment: 2-4 hours/week, hybrid meetings, increasing as Walk Day approaches
