A simple phone call can bring peace of mind and companionship. Compassus Hospice is seeking volunteers to make weekly check-in calls to patients and caregivers. These calls may include confirming supply needs before the weekend or simply offering a friendly voice to ease loneliness and anxiety. Some patients may be on service for months or even years, and your consistent presence can make a lasting difference.
Calls may be made from your home or at the Compassus office in Muncie. Volunteers must live in one of the following Indiana counties served by the Muncie branch: Delaware, Madison, Henry, Wayne, Randolph, Jay, Blackford, or Grant. Good listening and communication skills are essential, as well as maintaining patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
