Program Directors manage one HUGS initiative, coordinate volunteers, and provide quarterly progress reports to the Board of Directors.

Program Director Position Description
The Program Director provides leadership and oversight for one of HUGS’ signature programs. Each director ensures their program is effectively designed, implemented, and evaluated in alignment with HUGS’ mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate assigned program activities.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers.
- Build and maintain community partnerships.
- Support fundraising campaigns and events related to the program.
- Track data and submit quarterly reports to the Board.
Programs Needing Directors:
- Project SHIELD – Anti-trafficking awareness and certification program.
- Roots to Wings – Dorm kits, mentoring, and transition support for foster youth entering college.
- Journey Bag Drive – Essentials for foster youth aging out of care.
- Scholarship & Education Support – Scholarships, tutoring, and mentoring for youth.
- Golf Fore Youth – Expanding access to golf for underserved youth with instruction, equipment, and mentorship.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience in program management, community outreach, or nonprofit work preferred.
- Ability to coordinate volunteers and build partnerships.
- Comfortable with fundraising support and public engagement.
- Commitment to HUGS’ mission of empowering youth and families.
Time Commitment
- Approximately 5–10 hours per month (varies by program and season).
- Attendance at program events and quarterly updates with the Board.
Compensation
This is a volunteer leadership role (future stipends possible through grant funding).
