    Description

    About Us:

Hey there - we’re the cats and dogs of Richmond Animal League, and we’re on the lookout for our perfect matches! We’ve got big personalities, little quirks, and a whole lot of love to give. What we need are humans who can help us put our best paw forward and introduce us to the families we’ve been waiting for.

    About You:

You’re part animal whisperer, part people person. You know how to handle a wiggly pup or a curious kitty with patience and care. You’re comfortable chatting with adopters, answering their questions, and helping them see just how amazing we are. If you’re hanging with the dogs, you’re 18+ and can lift 50 lbs (because sometimes chunky pups need a boost!).

    • Must love pets (obviously).
    • Calm, kind, and patient - even if we get the zoomies mid-intro.
    • Confident around people and happy to chat with adopters.
    • For Dog Matchmakers: strong enough to lift 50 lbs and at least 18 years old.
    • Team player who’s excited to work alongside staff during meet and greets.

    What We’ll Do Together:

    • Introduce us to potential families and help them get to know us.
    • Answer questions and share what makes us special.
    • Occasionally help out with pet-to-pet meet and greets (don’t worry, staff will be right there too).
    • Give us walks, pets, and encouragement while we’re showing off our best selves.

    What You Get:

    • The joy of watching families fall in love right before your eyes.
    • A front-row seat to happy "gotcha day" moments.
    • Training and support so you feel confident matchmaking like a pro.
    • Endless gratitude from us - purrs, tail wags, and heart-melting looks included.
