    Commitment Time Frame:

    Deployment of Treetracker Android V2.2

    Role Overview:

    This role is responsible for releasing version 2.2

    Compensation :

    Volunteer (Stipend or Hourly available)

    Reports to:

    Android Lead, VP of Programs

    Collaborates with:

    Ground Users, Mobile Developers, Admin Users, Organizational Users, Design Team

    Leads

    Mobile App UX and UI development

    Time From

    Immediately until April 30 2025

    AREAS of RESPONSIBILITY

    This role is responsible for the development and release of issues slated for release 2.2 of the Android Treetracker app.

    Deliverables

    • Update/validate project setup and documentation:

      • readme file in GitHub

      • firebase setup

    • Participate in Android meetings.

    • Perform fixes and provide technical oversight for development work needed for planned Play Store releases.

    • Coordinate and assign tasks to volunteers looking to help.

    • Monitor Crash reports

    • Coordinate with testing team for support needed to perform integration and user acceptance testing

    • Perform release activities to deploy to Play Store

    • Share updates on development progress per agreed upon frequency with Android Lead and VP of Programs

    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

    Qualified Applicants must:

    • Be able to commit to a complete sprint.

    • Demonstrate the ability to simplify complex ideas in design.

    • Listen to user needs and adjust designs accordingly.

    • Work independently.

    • Collaborate asynchronously with others.

    • Understand current operations needs and use cases, such as illiterate users, and bright sunny conditions - be "user centered."

    • Implement designs with minimal changes to app flow or screens (The apps work well, we will move forward with small iterations nor do we want to create new training material).

    • Have a willingness to learn and navigate the legal intricacies of the current apps.

    • Preferably, have the ability to ground test this with target users
