    Description

New England Justice for Our Neighbors serves most of Massachusetts, providing free, expert legal services to low-income immigrants seeking humanitarian-based visas. Many of the roles in our organization are staffed by volunteers. At this time, we are seeking volunteers to staff our monthly legal clinic in Springfield, MA.

Clients attend our legal clinics to meet with our attorneys and review their cases. Clinics occur in the late afternoon and early evening. Volunteers set up the clinic space before the clients arrive, remain at the clinic while clients are seen, and clean up the space at the end of the day. In between, volunteers greet and direct clients when they arrive and assist attorneys with any small tasks that may be necessary.

While Spanish fluency is not a requirement of the role, it would be a plus.

We encourage people of all backgrounds, including immigrant backgrounds, to apply.
