The Great Marshmallow Drop - a Large Community Event!

Join Oakland County Parks for this enormous, exciting, free community event to kick off our spring season. A low flying helicopter will drop 15,000 marshmallows which kids will collect and turn in for a prize.

We are in need 120 volunteers to help make this fun event safe for families in our community. Volunteers will assist event staff with:

    • Chute Assistance - Direct people to the proper chute and guide people onto the field
    • Marshmallow Marshalls - Keep people in the safe zone until the marshmallows are dropped
    • Prize Tent Volunteers - Hand out goodie bags to kids
    • Boundary Volunteers - Keep people out of the flight zone and interact with the public

Special events like this provide a safe, fun opportunity for our community members to come together and create lasting memories. Oakland County Parks and Recreation strives to provide superior, inclusive programming for all ages. By helping us provide these meaningful experiences for families, you are making a positive impact in the lives of children from all backgrounds and abilities.
