    Description

    Volunteer Role: Coordinator–Publicist (Traditional Media)

    We are seeking a volunteer Coordinator–Publicist to help share stories about our DIY music-making programs and global cultural exchange initiatives. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in arts, media, communications, or social impact. You will help connect our work to newspapers, magazines, radio, and TV outlets while supporting a mission centered on creativity, collaboration, and community across cultures.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Pitch story ideas about our artists, programs, and community impact
    • Write short press releases and media advisories
    • Build and maintain a media contact list
    • Help coordinate interviews and press inquiries
    • Track and save media coverage

    Who Should Apply

    • College students or recent graduates
    • Strong writers with interest in music, arts, or global culture
    • Curious about grassroots, DIY creative work
    • Reliable and able to meet simple deadlines

    (PR, journalism, or marketing experience is a plus but not required.)
