    Description

Enroot is looking for Volunteers to work with immigrant high school students at Cambridge Rindge & Latin School or Somerville High School. We aim to create a sense of belonging for our students and volunteers play a huge role in that. Volunteers are partners in students' success and help us build meaningful relationships and a strong community of support.

We are especially looking for BIPOC, immigrants, and speakers of Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole. We'll have a better idea of other language needs in the fall so if you speak another language, we'll likely have a student looking for someone like you!

Programming is facilitated at our partner high schools by Enroot staff to help volunteers and students connect with each other. Volunteers mainly provide relationship building and social emotional support but will also contribute to the following key student success outcomes:

    • Academic Readiness
    • Post Secondary Planning
    • Personal Development
    • Life Skills

Volunteers can expect to work with small groups of students 2x a month for a full academic year (we love when folks continue working with their students in following years as well!) We're still confirming our available schedules for the upcoming academic year but please apply and we'll go over more details during your interview.
