    Description

Join Empower NGOs in Arusha, Tanzania, a unique program for volunteers who want to strengthen grassroots impact through fundraising and project development.

Twiga Vision is a local NGO undergoing a complete organizational rebuild after losing its main sponsor. We're now reimagining our structure, strategies, and sustainability. As a volunteer, you’ll support proposal writing, donor research, budget planning, reporting, and development of new projects in areas like women’s empowerment, education, or child welfare.

You’ll work hand-in-hand with our Tanzanian team and help drive real, long-term change. This role is ideal for students or professionals in international development, nonprofit work, or project management.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Research potential donors and funding opportunities
    • Prepare and submit funding proposals or grant applications
    • Design and coordinate online or local fundraising campaigns
    • Co-develop a mid-term growth plan with the team
    • Assist with project planning, monitoring and donor reporting

    Qualifications

We’re looking for volunteers with skills or experience in fundraising, project management or nonprofit development. Ideal profiles include:

    • Grant writers, fundraisers, or development professionals
    • Students in international development, project management, or NGO studies
    • Self-starters eager to contribute ideas, tools and strategies
    • Anyone with experience in donor relations, strategic planning or proposal writing

This is a great fit for people who enjoy autonomy, creative problem-solving and making a tangible impact alongside a passionate local team.
