    Description

    Trails Volunteer

    Summary of Position

    Work with Jeffco Parks & Open Space Trails Team to build and maintain our trails. Act as a representative of JCPOS by educating and conveying the JCPOS mission to visitors.

    Duties

    Represent JCPOS by being a visible and approachable presence in our parks.

    Attend group volunteer projects

    Requirements

    Be in good physical condition

    Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on varied terrain

    Complete a background check prior to working with park visitors

    Trail maintenance/construction training is provided on day of project

    Volunteers must abide by JCPOS Park Regulations and established volunteer policies and procedures outlined in the JCPOS Volunteer Handbook

      1. All new volunteers are required to attend New Volunteer Orientation at JCPOS Headquarters to become familiar with the entire JCPOS system prior to specific program training. You must pre-register for orientation on Offero. Registration links are provided upon receipt of your application.
    4. Attend Program Specific Training
      1. Attend onsite training as needed
