    Description

We are looking for volunteers to be a helping hand to hospice patients. Volunteers can perform many small tasks such as walking a dog/ listening to stories/ playing games/ reading/ singing/etc. We all have different gifts and talents that we take for granted and don't realize what a special gift it can be to someone who feels alone.

Each patient is different, so creativity is a useful tool for a volunteer to have. You can read stories or tell stories, read the news or do a crossword puzzle with them. Bingo and checkers are simple games or coloring in a coloring book are activities that invite conversation. Simple art activities can bring joy. Just sitting with someone can be a precious gift.

Not everyone is comfortable around patients so if you have different skills and enjoy working in an office, we can also use volunteers that can make copies and assemble hospice packets and binders or those that are into organization and can help unpack and organize supplies in office.
