She’s Going Places (SGP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women and girls through financial literacy, hygiene programs, personal and professional development, and cultural exchange opportunities. We are expanding our programs locally and globally, and strong development leadership is key to making this possible.

Position Summary

The Director of Development & Fundraising is responsible for creating and implementing strategies to generate revenue and resources that sustain SGP’s mission. This role manages donor relations, corporate sponsorships, grants, and fundraising campaigns while working closely with the leadership team to ensure the organization’s long-term sustainability.

This is a volunteer leadership position suited for someone with experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, or donor relations who is excited to make a tangible impact in women’s empowerment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support organizational goals.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Research and write grant proposals, reports, and sponsorship requests.
• Plan and oversee fundraising events, campaigns, and giving drives.
• Work with the Marketing Director to create compelling donor communications and campaigns.
• Maintain donor records and ensure proper acknowledgment and recognition.
• Collaborate with the Board of Directors on fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in fundraising, donor relations, nonprofit development, or grant writing.
• Strong communication and networking skills.
• Ability to develop creative fundraising strategies and campaigns.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and goal-driven.
• Passion for women’s empowerment and building sustainable programs.

Time Commitment

• Approximately 6–10 hours per week (remote and flexible).
• Participation in monthly leadership and team meetings (virtual).
