    Location: 2525 13th Street NW Canton Ohio 44708 Hours: M-F 8:00 – 4:30, Saturday Flexible

    About Us

    Beacon Charitable Pharmacy is dedicated to improving access to medication and healthcare services for underserved populations. Our mission is to ensure that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, can receive the medications and support they need to lead healthy lives.

    Volunteer Roles Available

    1. Medication Sorting Volunteers

    o Responsibilities:

     Sort and organize donated medications.

     Ensure medications are properly labeled and stored.

     Check for expired medications and remove them from inventory.

     Assist with maintaining an organized and efficient pharmacy environment.

    o Qualifications: Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow safety and handling guidelines.

    1. Pharmacy Assistant Volunteers

    o Responsibilities:

     Assist with the preparation and dispensing of medications.

     Help maintain inventory and manage stock levels.

     Provide customer service and support to clients.

    o Qualifications: Pharmacist, Pharmacist Assistant, Medical Assistant, RN, or LPN

    1. Patient Support Volunteers

    o Responsibilities:

     Provide information and guidance to patients about their medications.

     Assist patients with understanding their prescriptions and dosage instructions.

     Offer emotional support and a listening ear to patients in need.

    o Qualifications: Empathy, good communication skills, and a willingness to help others.

    1. Administrative Assistants Volunteers

    o Responsibilities:

     Help with data entry and maintaining patient records.

     Assist with scheduling appointments and managing the front desk.

     Support fundraising and outreach activities.

    o Qualifications: Organizational skills, proficiency with computers, and attention to detail.

    1. Outreach and Education Volunteers

    Responsibilities:

     Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about our services.

     Conduct educational workshops on medication management and health topics.

     Help develop and distribute educational materials.

    o Qualifications: Public speaking skills, enthusiasm for community engagement, and a proactive attitude.

    1. Digital Marketing Volunteers

    o Responsibilities:

     Assist in developing and executing digital marketing strategies.

     Manage social media accounts and create engaging content.

     Optimize our website for SEO and improve online visibility.

     Track and analyze marketing metrics to assess performance.

    o Qualifications: Experience with social media platforms, basic knowledge of SEO and content creation, creativity, and strong communication skills.

    1. Grant Writers Volunteers

    o Responsibilities

     General maintenance.

     Repairs.

     Landscaping and groundskeeping.

     Installation and assembly.

    o Qualifications: Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills, along with the ability to perform physical tasks and follow safety protocols.

    1. Handypersons Volunteers

    o Responsibilities:

     Sort and organize donated medications.

     Ensure medications are properly labeled and stored.

     Check for expired medications and remove them from inventory.

     Assist with maintaining an organized and efficient pharmacy environment.

    o Qualifications: Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow safety and handling guidelines.
