    We will select a date/time that best suits your schedule. 2–3 hours for the workshop. Prep 1-2 to prepare workshop details. All supplies will be supplied unless artist wants to bring their own.

    Workshop Lead – Creative Art-Based Healing Workshop

    IROCKMYSCARS is a nonprofit supporting trauma recovery through creative expression. We are seeking Workshop Lead volunteers to design and facilitate visual arts workshops, helping participants explore painting, drawing, crafts, and mixed media. Lead engaging, trauma-informed sessions that empower individuals to heal, build confidence, and express themselves creatively.

    Role Description:

    We are seeking volunteers to lead Creative Art-Based Healing Workshops, focused on:

    • Painting & Drawing – Exploring colors, techniques, and self-expression.
    • Crafts & Mixed Media – Hands-on projects combining multiple materials and techniques, encouraging creativity and experimentation.
    • Any other safe art techniques you enjoy and feel others would too.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and lead recurring creative sessions for participants.
    • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
    • Assist participants in exploring their creativity.
    • Collaborate with IROCKMYSCARS staff and volunteers.
    • Optional: Share your portfolio or promote your creative work in a professional, participant-friendly way.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Experience in painting, drawing, crafts, or mixed media.
    • Licensed art therapists, professional artists, and experienced community artists are encouraged to apply.
    • Passion for supporting individuals in a creative, healing-focused environment.
    • Patience, empathy, and flexibility.
