Overview
The Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the Kiona Foundation. This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking work in pediatric cancer research, family support, and community engagement. Volunteers in this role will work closely with a passionate and committed team to advance the Foundation’s strategic priorities.
Time CommitmentExpected commitment is 10 hrs/week, with flexibility based on availability and project needs. This is a remote volunteer position unless otherwise specified.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and maintain internal tracking systems for active campaigns, volunteer schedules, and cross-departmental workflows using Microsoft for Nonprofits and project management tools.
Oversee weekly team check-ins and coordinate communication between leadership, research teams, and program coordinators.
Develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for onboarding, resource management, and recurring projects.
Support administrative readiness for board meetings, grant deadlines, and compliance submissions.
Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, mission-aligned, and capable of working independently in a collaborative, virtual environment.
