    Description

    The Role

We’re looking for a Social Media Guru who can match our grit with digital firepower. Someone who can capture the raw, real energy of boots-on-the-ground disaster response and translate it into scroll-stopping posts that grow our movement. You’ll be the voice that inspires volunteers, attracts sponsors, and shows the world why we do what we do. If you can work within our Canva Pro account to design graphics, infographics, and other content, even better.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage our presence on Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms
    • Create engaging posts, stories, and campaigns that highlight our work and impact
    • Use Canva Pro to design graphics, infographics, and branded content
    • Grow our follower base with authentic and consistent content
    • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and engagement opportunities
    • Work with leadership to align posts with events, deployments, and fundraising efforts
    • Track analytics and adjust strategies to improve reach and engagement

    What We’re Looking For

    • Strong storytelling instincts, both visual and written
    • Ability to design eye-catching content (graphics, reels, captions, etc.)
    • Comfort working in fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environments
    • Organizational skills to schedule and plan campaigns in advance
    • A self-starter with energy, creativity, and a willingness to experiment
    • Experience with Canva Pro preferred
    • Prior social media management experience helpful, but not required if you have raw talent

    Why Join Us?

    • Be part of a team that thrives in chaos and brings hope to communities in crisis
    • Build your portfolio by running social channels with a real, life-saving mission
    • Flexible: work remotely or on-site with us in Hendersonville, NC
    • Every post you create helps us recruit volunteers, secure donations, and reach survivors faster
