    Description

Bring Mindfulness to SF Classrooms - Volunteer to Lead Weekly Sessions!

Do you believe in the power of mindfulness-and want to share it with the next generation?

The San Francisco Education Fund is looking for volunteers in the SF Bay Area with a consistent personal mindfulness practice to lead 20-30-minute mindfulness sessions once a week in public elementary school classrooms.

Using techniques based on the Mindful Arts in the Classroom curriculum, you’ll guide students through breathing, movement, and awareness exercises to help them build emotional regulation, focus, and resilience-skills they’ll carry for a lifetime.

    What You’ll Do:

✔️ Lead a weekly mindfulness session in an SFUSD elementary classroom

✔️ Support students in developing emotional awareness and stress-reduction tools

✔️ Partner with teachers to create a calm and inclusive learning environment

No teaching experience required-we’ll provide full training and materials.

Live in the SF Bay Area?

This opportunity is in-person and open to adults 18+ with a consistent mindfulness or meditation practice. We occasionally offer assistant roles for volunteers without a consistent practice who want to support the program and learn alongside students.

Upcoming Trainings for 2025-26 School Year:

    • September 9th and November 4th
