    About Gender Freedom Society

    GFS is a transgender-led nonprofit focused on peer support, advocacy, education, and community building for trans and gender-diverse people. We value equity, accessibility, and liberation for all.

    Role Summary

    As Volunteer Coordinator, you will oversee the volunteer experience from application through onboarding, while fostering relationships with the community and supporting ongoing volunteer engagement. This is a remote, volunteer role.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate recruitment, screening, interviewing, and orientation of new volunteers
    • Serve as the main point of contact for prospective and active volunteers, managing communications and program documentation
    • Support volunteer engagement through recognition activities, community outreach, and program updates

    Ideal Qualifications

    • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
    • Proficiency with databases, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Apps

    Time Commitment: Approx. 8–12 hours/month, flexible schedule.
