You can help make sure people who qualify for these critical payments can access them. We have community based tax locations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area which are open mostly on Saturdays and some weekday afternoons.

Responsibilities and Tasks
- Provide high-quality assistance to taxpayers.
- Advise clients about the tax preparation process.
- Prepare client tax returns and answer tax related questions.
- Prepare tax returns using Lacerte or TaxSlayer tax preparation software.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
Requirements
- Prior tax preparation experience or IRS VITA volunteer certification
- Analytical skills with attention to detail
- Comfortable learning or navigating within tax software programs
- Communication skills with ability to empathize and instill confidence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Spanish or Cantonese language skills is a plus
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Enrolled Agent Certification, CPA (or CPA candidate) a plus
