Only through this collective, inclusive approach can we hope to address poverty, restore our planet, and ensure true inclusion.

    From 2020 – 2025, One Family Foundation incubated a growing network of social entrepreneurs and innovators, Catalyst Now, which has evolved into its own independent organisation. Moving into this new phase, we wish to grow support for social innovation through engaging with communities and governments. We are thus looking to strengthen our small, dedicated team with the addition of a Finance and Macroeconomics Intern.

    Role Overview:

    We are seeking a motivated Macroeconomic Policy & International Tax Research Intern with specialized expertise in economic policy frameworks and international taxation systems to support our research and policy team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a meticulous eye for detail, and is eager to contribute to meaningful policy research that drives social innovation financing and systemic change.

    Key Responsibilities:.

    • Conduct comprehensive macroeconomic policy analysis across international markets to assess feasibility of leveraging economic frameworks for social innovation financing
    • Research and analyze global tax policy regulations and legislative changes across multiple jurisdictions, identifying policy gaps and reform opportunities to support impact initiatives
    • Examine international tax coordination mechanisms and their potential for supporting cross-border social innovation projects
    • Research and analyze global tax policy regulations changes across multiple jurisdictions and identify gaps to support impact agenda
    • Support preparation of financial and economics research paper, policy notes proposing international tax reforms
    • Create presentations summarizing international tax developments and recommendations
    • Assist with special projects related to international expansion or reforming regulatory frameworks

    Required Qualifications

    Education & Academic Background

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed Master's degree in Economics, Public Policy, International Economics, Tax Policy, Law (with focus on tax/economic law), or related field
    • Strong academic performance with demonstrated analytical capabilities
    • A sharp eye for detail—you catch things others miss.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment.
    • Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace.
    • A team player mindset, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and learn on the job.

    Technical Skills

    • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling
    • Knowledge of macroeconomic principles and international financial markets
    • Understanding of OECD BEPS initiatives and implementation
    • Experience with statistical software (R, Python, or similar)

    Bonus If You Have

    • Experience in a non-profit or social impact setting.
    • Familiarity with project management tools
    • A passion for supporting early-stage ideas that make a difference.
