About the Role
We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Associate Art Director to support our Creative Director in leading the visual design, brand storytelling, and campaign development across both LoopTroop and LoopRoots programs.
This is a volunteer hybrid position (20–25 hours per week) with the opportunity to transition into a paid position after launch.
The ideal candidate is passionate about purpose-driven design, has a strong eye for visual balance, and thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment that spans tech, community engagement, and social advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to develop and maintain visual brand identity across all programs (LoopFood, LoopLegal, LoopHousing, LoopTalk, etc.)
- Design creative assets for digital campaigns, social media, web, and print materials
- Translate strategic goals into visual concepts that inspire engagement and action
- Partner with UI/UX designers and developers to ensure seamless integration of visual and functional design
- Contribute to storyboarding, photography direction, and campaign rollouts for marketing initiatives
- Support creative reviews, presentations, and project management within Zoho and Canva/Figma
- Maintain brand consistency while innovating design solutions that reflect Loop’s mission
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of design or art direction experience (agency, nonprofit, or startup environment preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Figma
- Excellent understanding of digital layout, typography, and storytelling
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative, remote-first environment
- Passion for creative advocacy, social justice, and community-based impact design
