    About Us

LoopRoots Foundation and its tech partner LoopTroop Inc. are part of a growing social-impact ecosystem dedicated to improving access to transportation, housing, food, and wellness for families impacted by incarceration and poverty.

Our team blends creativity, innovation, and compassion to design solutions that drive equity and connection across communities.

    About the Role

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Associate Art Director to support our Creative Director in leading the visual design, brand storytelling, and campaign development across both LoopTroop and LoopRoots programs.

This is a volunteer hybrid position (20–25 hours per week) with the opportunity to transition into a paid position after launch.

The ideal candidate is passionate about purpose-driven design, has a strong eye for visual balance, and thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment that spans tech, community engagement, and social advocacy.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the Creative Director to develop and maintain visual brand identity across all programs (LoopFood, LoopLegal, LoopHousing, LoopTalk, etc.)
    • Design creative assets for digital campaigns, social media, web, and print materials
    • Translate strategic goals into visual concepts that inspire engagement and action
    • Partner with UI/UX designers and developers to ensure seamless integration of visual and functional design
    • Contribute to storyboarding, photography direction, and campaign rollouts for marketing initiatives
    • Support creative reviews, presentations, and project management within Zoho and Canva/Figma
    • Maintain brand consistency while innovating design solutions that reflect Loop’s mission

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • 2+ years of design or art direction experience (agency, nonprofit, or startup environment preferred)
    • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Figma
    • Excellent understanding of digital layout, typography, and storytelling
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative, remote-first environment
    • Passion for creative advocacy, social justice, and community-based impact design

    What We Offer

    • Opportunity to lead meaningful, mission-driven projects
    • Creative freedom within a supportive, visionary team
    • Networking opportunities with nonprofit and tech professionals
    • Hands-on experience in building a national-scale social enterprise brand
    • Pathway to a paid position post-launch, based on performance and funding availability
