Our efforts extend across various domains, including the prevention of catastrophic wildfires. We strive to address this systemic issue through advanced technologies, innovative methods, and promoting nature-based solutions.

    Role Summary:

    As the Catastrophic Wildfire Prevention SME in Virtual Residence, you'll play a pivotal role in developing our systemic approach towards wildfire prevention. Your expertise will guide our strategies, inform our use of advanced technologies such as satellite data, drive our grant writing efforts, and foster a spirit of radical collaboration within our virtual community.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide insight and guidance on wildfire prevention, utilizing your understanding of systems change, risk reduction strategies, advanced technologies, and nature-based solutions.
    • Advanced Technologies: Advocate and facilitate the use of advanced technologies, such as satellite data analysis, to predict, prevent, and manage wildfires more effectively.
    • Grant Writing: Lead the grant writing process to secure funding for our initiatives, focusing on systemic and innovative solutions to prevent catastrophic wildfires.
    • Radical Collaboration: Foster a spirit of radical collaboration, enabling cross-functional efforts towards designing and implementing social innovations in catastrophic wildfire prevention.
    • Research and Strategy Development: Conduct research on emerging trends, strategies, and technologies in wildfire prevention and management. Translate these insights into strategic initiatives and actionable plans.
    • Outreach and Advocacy: Champion our cause in professional and public forums. Develop outreach strategies to engage key stakeholders and raise awareness about our work.

    Requirements:

    • Experience: Demonstrated expertise in wildfire prevention, risk reduction, and the application of advanced technologies and nature-based solutions.
    • Grant Writing: Experience in grant writing, with a focus on securing funding for systemic change, social innovation, and environmental initiatives.
    • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information to diverse audiences.
    • Collaborative Skills: Proven ability to foster productive relationships and facilitate collaboration in a virtual environment.
    • Research Skills: Strong research capabilities, with experience translating research findings into strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
