    About Us

    Amedisys Hospice provides compassionate, patient‑centered end‑of‑life care to individuals and families in our community. Our Hospice Volunteer Program plays a vital role in supporting our mission through both direct‑service and behind‑the‑scenes volunteer opportunities. This position supports the program through administrative and community‑engagement tasks.

    Opportunity Overview

    We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Remote Administrative Volunteer to support the Amedisys Hospice Volunteer Program with community research and outreach projects. This is a fully remote, behind‑the‑scenes role and does not involve any patient or family contact.

    Volunteers in this role help strengthen our program by identifying community organizations, potential partners, and outreach opportunities that enhance volunteer engagement and program visibility.

    Responsibilities

      • Conduct online research to identify community partners, senior‑serving organizations, support groups, and outreach opportunities
      • Update and maintain contact lists, spreadsheets, and resource databases for the Hospice Volunteer Program
      • Assist with drafting outreach emails and informational materials
      • Support light administrative tasks related to volunteer services and community engagement
      • Communicate regularly with the Volunteer Coordinator for guidance and updates

    Qualifications

      • Comfortable working independently and remotely
      • Strong communication and organizational skills
      • Basic proficiency in email, internet research, and spreadsheets
      • Reliable, detail‑oriented, and aligned with hospice values
      • No prior hospice experience required as training is provided
