    Want to be part of world-class roller derby action? Rose City Rollers is recruiting Skating and Non-Skating Officials to ensure every game is fair, safe, and thrilling!

    No Experience Needed: We offer dedicated training for all officiating roles - come as you are!

    Officials are the heartbeat of roller derby. Whether you’re on skates or off, you’ll build skills, make lasting friendships, and play a key role in Rose City’s dynamic derby scene.

    What You’ll Do:

    Skating Officials

    • Inside Pack Referee: Define the pack, assess penalties, and maintain control.
    • Outside Pack Referee: Monitor the outer edge of gameplay.
    • Jammer Referee: Track scoring, assign lead jammer status, and call jammer penalties.

    Non-Skating Officials

    • Jam Timer: Start jams and keep the game on schedule.
    • Scorekeeper/Scoreboard Operator: Record and display jammer points.
    • Penalty Box Manager/Timer: Track skaters in the penalty box and release them on time.
    • Penalty Tracker: Log infractions to keep the game running smoothly.
