Fundraising Support and Leadership/Board Membership

Literacy Partners -- Menlo Park (www.literacypartnersmenlopark.org) provides fundraising and support for literacy programs, including bilingual services, in a local area of the San Francisco Peninsula. We are looking for hands-on volunteers to refine and expand our fundraising and vetting of educational programs using existing contacts, communication tools, and knowledge of the local community. Volunteers experienced with fundraising and familiar with the local community can be eligible to join the Board of Directors. Less experienced but eager volunteers can help with database and website management. Volunteer work with LPMP could be an opportunity for persons with fundraising and/or educational development experience who are newly relocating to the local area and wish to expand local involvement. Board members are expected to attend regular, usually six times yearly, board meetings and become involved with group events.
