    Description

    Card Maker/Designer/Writer

We are looking for volunteers to help us design cards (or write messages in store-bought ones) that uplift children, seniors, people with disabilities, hospice care and military. We work with numerous hospitals, assisted living facilities, military sites and other organizations across the country to send cards to remind people that they matter, that someone is thinking about them.

Cards can be hand made or store bought, but must be handwritten and contain motivating, cheerful and/or uplifting messages. Please see the guidelines on our website www.abrightspot.org. The website also has a variety of categories that volunteers can choose when deciding what cards to make (welcome fall/winter/spring for seniors, back to school for kids, or general support for veterans and military families, to name just a few examples).

Contact us for more details or even to recommend a location or group that could use some cards of support.

Volunteers can work individually or together as a group. For group efforts:

    • Event can be held at a volunteer group location (the library, for example)
    • Event can be held at organization location (a company office, for example)
    • Event can be held virtually

We appreciate donations, and we always need postage stamps and stickers to add to the cards and envelopes.
