Are you passionate about sobriety and recovery? Sober-curious or an ally? Do you have a hobby or skill you’d like to share with the community, and want to help people thrive in their sobriety or recovery? The Phoenix wants you to join us!
Together we rise
At The Phoenix, we’re fueling a movement that builds on the power of community and belonging to change how society approaches addiction and recovery. Through hundreds of weekly sober events and activities, we’re creating safe spaces for all individuals to connect, build friendships, find support, and have fun.
Become a change maker
This movement is powered by people like you. As a volunteer you’ll host or support your favorite activities with Phoenix members in your community. From organizing a sober walk or yoga class to leading a book club or CrossFit class, you can help ignite recovery your way!

My name is Melissa and I am the volunteer coordinator for The Phoenix for your state! Thanks so much for reaching out - we would love to have you involved 🙂
We are a volunteer-led organization, which means we can DEFINITELY use your help to spread the Phoenix message!
Your first step, if you have not already, would be to download the NewForm/Phoenix app - there's a link below. You need to attend 3 Phoenix events (either in person or virtually) to be eligible to volunteer.
Find The Phoenix on NewForm (formerly The Phoenix App)!
Once you have attended 3, you will see a prompt pop up on the app to give you access to volunteer training (it's short!). Once you complete the training, you will be able to get your background check completed and will also be able to schedule a quick (30 minutes or as long as you need) onboarding call with me 🙂. You will then be onboarded yourself as a volunteer, and come up with just about any type of event you might like to lead yourself!
