Healthcare Outreach Volunteer
In Uganda’s rural communities, accessing essential healthcare remains a major challenge. Many critical services—such as testing and treatment for malaria, HIV, cervical cancer, and chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure—are often concentrated in urban centers, leaving rural populations underserved and vulnerable.
As a Healthcare Outreach Volunteer, you’ll be part of a one week mission to bring life-saving care directly to these communities. You’ll travel to remote villages, working alongside local health professionals to deliver testing, treatment, and education to as many people as possible. Your role will include administering malaria tests (with full training provided), supporting screenings for HIV and cervical cancer, checking blood pressure and blood sugar levels, and leading health education sessions focused on hygiene, nutrition, and sexual health.
This program is designed to be immersive and impactful. Your Program Fee covers everything you need to focus on the work: accommodation, three nutritious meals a day, malaria testing kits and medication, basic first aid supplies, local transport, and supervision from experienced staff. Whether you're a student, a healthcare professional, or simply passionate about health equity, this is your chance to make a real difference in people’s lives while gaining hands-on experience in global health.
