ROLE OVERVIEW
Community Educators are volunteer public speakers who deliver engaging, Alzheimerās Association-prepared presentations to a variety of audiences. Through education, youāll raise awareness, connect families to resources, and help change the way people understand and approach dementia.
KEY ACTIVITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
ā Strong communication and presentation skills
ā Comfortable with technology and virtual delivery tools
ā Ability to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners
ā Passion for the Alzheimerās Associationās mission (personal/professional experience a plus)
COMMITMENT
šļø Minimum 1-year term leading monthly events
šļø Goal of 12 presentations per year
š Participation in training and continued education
š Terms renewed annually through staff goal setting
