    Description

    We are seeking a creative and organized Social Media Coordinator to manage and grow our online presence across multiple platforms. This role is responsible for scheduling and posting content, promoting programs and events, and driving engagement with our community online. The Social Media Coordinator will play an important role in telling our story, highlighting our impact, and fostering meaningful conversations with supporters.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, schedule, and post content across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
    • Promote programs, events, fundraising campaigns, and community initiatives.
    • Monitor and encourage online engagement by responding to comments, messages, and community interactions.
    • Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and program participants to collect stories, photos, and videos to share.
    • Ensure all content reflects the organization’s mission, voice, and brand.
    • Coordinate with Marketing & Communications Lead to align content with events, workshops, and community activities.
    • Work with college and high school students as part of youth programming (background clearance required).

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
    • Experience coordinating social media platforms for an organization, brand, or cause.
    • Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
    • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
    • Knowledge of trends and best practices across different platforms.
    • Collaborative team player with creativity and attention to detail.
    • Commitment to the mission of empowering women and amplifying community voices.
