    Job type: Volunteer Service (VS) Part-Time

    The Fédération Internationale de la Jeunesse in English International Youth Federation (IYF), is an international non-profit youth organization network governed by the present Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is politically neutral and non-denominational, aiming to empower youth worldwide.

    The IYF Bureau of Management has direct responsibility for the management and oversight of the organization and provides leadership, advisory, and management support to the IYF Headquarters and other executive branches.

    The role of the Central Human Resources Division (CHRD) is to provide the IYF and its leadership with the best strategic HR advice. Leading the provision of HR business-focused services, the team delivers best-practice HR services and interventions that deliver results.

    Under the guidance and the overall supervision of the Manager of Talent Management, the Leadership Development Specialist is responsible for designing, developing and executing leadership development and learning activities and initiatives. The focus of the role is to enable a transformational change in the skills, knowledge and capabilities of the IYF’s leaders.

    To voluntarily represent, positively promote, and uphold the mission of “Empowering youth for a better world” in various programs and opportunities throughout the IYF interventions across member countries.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Facilitate global leadership development initiatives through research, partnerships building, design, curation and delivery of customized learning solutions and events in accordance with global best practices.
    • Build, influence, and sustain leadership training activities through partnering with learning service providers, academic institutions, and other related entities.
    • Implement tools and resources for coaching, mentoring, assessment and development aligned with corporate needs and overall learning visions.
    • Work with IYF business units, HR leaders, and other key stakeholders to distil leadership development requirements necessary to achieve business outcomes.
    • Contribute to the creation of a corporate learning culture in which IYF’s leaders drive and contribute to building a learning organization and promote a strong employee experience and value proposition.
    • Ensure that IYF effectively leverages modern learning experience platforms and technologies.
    • Develop and leverage evaluation measures, benchmarks, and scorecards to monitor effectiveness of leadership development programmes and initiatives.
    • Ensure knowledge management and ensure relevant information is readily available on SkyBridge Talent Hub.
    • Communicate and promote IYF’s leadership development opportunities to staff members across different levels and groups, leveraging a variety of channels and networks.
    • Facilitate (virtual) events and leadership learning programmes.

    Language

    Advanced English skills are required.

    Experience

    Leadership development experience within an NGO, non-profit, INGO (such as the United Nations), government, charity, international development, or youth empowerment organisation is ideal for this role.
