### **Living Stones Foundation**
Living Stones Foundation is seeking a strategic, mission-driven, and educationally focused **Director of the Language Programs (Volunteer – Unpaid)** to lead the design, implementation, and growth of its language education initiatives.
This role is ideal for a leader passionate about education, cultural exchange, and social impact, with the opportunity to work alongside an international and multidisciplinary volunteer team.

Living Stones Foundation empowers nonprofits and communities through **digital transformation, education, data-driven innovation, and sustainable social impact initiatives** across Latin America, the United States, and Canada.
Our volunteer network includes more than 70 professionals and graduate students from **Top 20 U.S. and Canadian universities**, contributing expertise in education, AI, data science, digital platforms, marketing, design, and international development.
## **Key Responsibilities**
### **1. Program Strategy & Academic Leadership**
- Design, develop, and oversee the Foundation’s Language Programs (English, Spanish, and other strategic languages).
- Define academic objectives, learning outcomes, curricula frameworks, and evaluation standards.
- Ensure alignment of language programs with the Foundation’s mission, values, and social impact goals.
- Identify opportunities to integrate language education with employability, digital skills, and leadership development.
### **2. Curriculum Development & Instructional Design**
- Lead the development of structured curricula for different proficiency levels and target populations.
- Incorporate modern methodologies, digital learning tools, and culturally relevant content.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and academic rigor across all language offerings.
- Promote innovative approaches such as blended learning, virtual classrooms, and AI-supported education (when applicable).
### **3. Faculty & Volunteer Coordination**
- Recruit, coordinate, and mentor volunteer language instructors, facilitators, and academic contributors.
- Establish teaching guidelines, training resources, and performance standards for instructors.
- Foster a collaborative and multicultural teaching environment.
- Support instructor development and continuous improvement.
### **4. Program Operations & Quality Assurance**
- Oversee scheduling, student enrollment processes, and program logistics in coordination with operations teams.
- Monitor student progress, attendance, and learning outcomes.
- Implement assessment tools and feedback mechanisms to ensure program effectiveness.
- Prepare academic reports and program evaluations for leadership.
### **5. Partnerships & Community Engagement**
- Support the development of partnerships with schools, nonprofits, universities, and community organizations.
- Represent the Language Programs in institutional meetings, presentations, and external collaborations.
- Promote access to language education for underserved communities and nonprofit partners.
### **6. Cross-Functional Collaboration**
- Work closely with Digital Transformation, Marketing, and Program Management teams to support outreach and communication.
- Contribute academic input to grant proposals, reports, and institutional documentation.
## **Candidate Requirements**
### **Education & Experience**
- Background in Education, Applied Linguistics, Languages, TESOL, International Education, or related fields.
- Experience in language program management, academic coordination, or teaching leadership.
- Experience working with multicultural or international educational programs is highly valued.
### **Skills**
- **Spanish required (advanced).**
- **English proficiency (advanced)** for academic leadership and international coordination.
- Strong curriculum design and academic planning skills.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate multicultural volunteer teams.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms, LMS, and digital education tools.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
### **Availability**
- **10–15 hours per week** (flexible, remote).
- **Unpaid volunteer position.**
