    Grant Writer & Researcher

Volunteer | Remote | 5–8 hours per week

    Who We Are

At Creshendo, we believe everyone deserves the chance to belong, rebuild, and rise. In partnership with displaced communities, we co-create solutions by listening deeply, collaborating intentionally, and centering lived experience.

Fueled by integrity, empathy, and curiosity, we design bold, inclusive programs that reimagine what’s possible for displaced people everywhere. If you’re passionate about challenging the status quo and driving meaningful change, you’ll feel right at home here.

    Why This Role Matters

Funding fuels impact. Without resources, even the most innovative community-led programs cannot grow.

As our Volunteer Grant Writer & Researcher, you’ll play a key role in securing the support that sustains and expands Creshendo’s work. By identifying funders and drafting compelling proposals, you’ll directly contribute to creating opportunities for displaced communities worldwide.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • You’ll research funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and international funders.
    • You’ll assist in drafting proposals, ensuring applications are clear, persuasive, and mission-aligned.
    • You’ll gather data and stories, strengthening applications with statistics, reports, and impact narratives.
    • You’ll collaborate with the Grant Director to contribute to fundraising strategies.
    • You’ll maintain organized records of deadlines, requirements, and submissions.

    What You Bring

    • A mindset for creative problem-solving—you enjoy turning ideas into opportunities.
    • Openness to diverse perspectives—you value collaboration to strengthen outcomes.
    • Strong research and writing skills with close attention to detail.
    • Ability to turn complex information into compelling, clear narratives.
    • Interest in nonprofit development and funding strategies.
    • (Preferred but not required) Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit research.
    • Independence, reliability, and comfort working in a remote team.
    • Availability of 5–8 hours per week.

(Training and mentorship will be provided—enthusiasm to learn is just as important as prior experience.)

    What You’ll Gain

    • Impact: Help secure the funding that sustains Creshendo’s programs and community impact.
    • Skill Development: Practical experience in grant writing, fundraising, and nonprofit research.
    • Mentorship: Tailored guidance from an experienced Grant Director.
    • Networking: Connect with nonprofit professionals and funding organizations.
    • Flexibility: Work remotely on a schedule that suits you.
    • Recognition: Certificate of completion and recommendation letter upon commitment.

    How We Work

We operate with a G.Y.S.T. mindset: clarity over chaos, consistency over perfection, action over ego. If you’re someone who follows through, communicates clearly, and cares about doing things well, you’ll feel at home here.
