Adoption Coordinator

Tiny Cat Animal Rescue is seeking Adoption Coordinators to help manage the adoption process from application to placement. This role focuses on reviewing applications, communicating with prospective adopters, and supporting thoughtful, responsible placements. Adoption Coordinators work collaboratively with one another, the Director of Operations, and the foster team to ensure clear communication and smooth transitions.

What You’ll Do

• Review and screen adoption applications
• Communicate with prospective adopters via email or phone
• Conduct reference checks as needed
• Coordinate meet-and-greet logistics with fosters
• Support drafting or updating adoption bios
• Ensure adoption paperwork is complete and organized
• Maintain professional and consistent communication throughout the process

Ideal Qualities

• Friendly, empathetic, and professional communicator
• Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
• Discreet and respectful when handling personal information
• Comfortable making thoughtful placement recommendations
• Able to exercise sound judgment
• Experience with animal rescue, adoption, or customer service is helpful but not required

Commitment

• Approximately 2–5 hours per week with flexible scheduling
• This role can be performed remotely; occasional availability to attend local meet-and-greets is a plus
