    Description

    Adopt-A-Garden Volunteer

    March - November

Please visit https://ambler.temple.edu/become-ambler-arboretum-volunteer to fill out a volunteer interst form.

We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic volunteers to adopt various gardens throughout the arboretum for care and maintenance underneath the supervision of Arboretum staff. Volunteers with previous experience volunteering in public gardens or who have worked in the horticulture industry are being sought to help maintain the various garden areas throughout the Temple University Ambler Arboretum.

The schedule is flexible and the volunteer will get to know the garden throughout the seasons, working with Arboretum staff to determine a plan of action, goals and weekly activities in the space.

    Gardens to choose from include:

    The Viola Anders Herb Garden

The Louise Bush-Brown Formal Perennial Garden

    The Woodland Garden

    The Ground Cover Garden

    The Formal Native Plant Garden

The Louise Stein Fisher Garden (dwarf evergreens)

    The Albright Winter Garden

    The Colibraro Conifer Garden

    The Ernesta Ballard Healing Garden

    The Sustainable Wetland Garden

Please contact us to schedule a tour of the spaces and to discuss volunteer needs and expectations within each garden.

Currently, volunteer opportunities are available only to persons ages 18 and over.
