Location: Remote/Flexible
Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week

Volunteer Role Overview
WOCOTM is seeking creative, reliable, and mission-aligned volunteers to join our Social Media / YouTube / TikTok Team. This role supports digital storytelling, outreach, and engagement by helping create and share content that uplifts our programs, campaigns, and community impact.
This is a great opportunity for students, emerging creatives, content creators, or anyone passionate about social justice, nonprofit work, and digital media.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Assist with creating content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok
- Help brainstorm content ideas aligned with WOCOTM campaigns and programs
- Edit short-form videos, reels, and TikToks (training provided if needed)
- Support posting schedules and engagement (likes, comments, shares)
- Assist with captions, hashtags, and storytelling that reflects our mission
- Attend occasional virtual team meetings or check-ins
Role Overview:
The social media/YouTube/TikTok Volunteer will help create dynamic, engaging, and impactful content to promote WOCOTM’s mission, events, and initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about storytelling, video creation, and digital engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications
- Interest in social media, content creation, or digital storytelling
- Familiarity with YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook
- Comfortable using a smartphone, computer, and basic apps/tools
- Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines
- Passion for women’s leadership, equity, and community impact
- Develop and schedule posts for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to highlight WOCOTM’s activities, events, and impact.
- Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and tags to build a strong online community.
- YouTube Content Creation:
- Create, edit, and upload video content for WOCOTM’s YouTube channel, including event highlights, interviews, and mission-driven stories.
- Optimize videos with compelling titles, descriptions, and tags to increase visibility.
- TikTok Content Creation:
- Develop creative and trending TikTok videos to showcase WOCOTM’s initiatives and events in a fun, relatable way.
- Research TikTok trends and adapt them to fit WOCOTM’s brand and mission.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and execute new ideas for engaging multimedia content.
- Track and analyze performance metrics to refine strategies and maximize reach.
Qualifications:
- Experience or strong interest in social media management and video content creation.
- Proficiency in video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, iMovie, CapCut) and social media tools (e.g., Canva, Hootsuite).
- Knowledge of trends and best practices on YouTube, TikTok, and other social media platforms.
- Creative mindset with strong storytelling skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Passion for WOCOTM’s mission and a commitment to uplifting diverse communities.
- Experience with Canva, CapCut, InShot, or similar tools
- Basic video editing or graphic design skills
- Experience managing or growing social media accounts
