    This is a volunteer position with the 388th Composite Squadron. We are looking for volunteers with financial management experience. This position will require you to submit to an FBI background check and wear the prescribed Civil Air Patrol uniform.

    Description

    Job Summary

    Civil Air Patrol is a volunteer organization and the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force. The 388th Composite Squadron, part of the Arizona Wing, is committed to cadet leadership training, aerospace education, emergency services, and community engagement. The Recruiting and Retention Officer ensures the growth and sustainability of the squadron by attracting and retaining dedicated members.

    Primary Duties

    • Develop and implement a recruiting plan targeting both cadets and senior members.
    • Organize open houses, school visits, and community outreach events.
    • Track member retention and conduct exit interviews.
    • Collaborate with the PAO and Personnel Officer to support new member integration.
    • Report recruiting and retention metrics to the commander.
    • Create various reports for the Squadron Commander as needed.
    • Create and store various documents in the Squadron’s Google drive.
    • Follow the applicable CAP, AZ Wing, and Squadron procedures.
    • Create Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to this position.

    Preferred Skills

    • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
    • Passion for CAP’s mission and ability to inspire others.
    • Experience in sales, outreach, or education is helpful.

    Work Environment

    • Duties may be performed remotely or at the Squadron facility at Glendale Airport, AZ
    • May be exposed to the natural environment with high and low temperatures
    • May involve long periods of standing or sitting
    • May be required to wear the CAP uniforms for Senior Members (see CAPR 39-1)
    • May involve travel by auto or plane within Arizona to attend events.
